"Who Am I, Anyway?" Deciphering Your Personal Brand
Thinking about your brand identity as an artist is a challenging concept. When promoting yourself to the public, whether you realize it or not, you are communicating your personal brand. Artists need to take a step back and learn to think about their brand message, what it's based on and how to communicate that message in their professional endeavors. In this workshop we'll explore the concept of branding and how your brand should be a reflection of your mission, vision and values. We'll review brand process and share some tools to help you begin to create a brand that is reflective of you and your work.
Nancy Hytone Leb discovered the field of Arts Administration in 1998 and gleefully left the ad agency world behind. She started Hytone Arts Management in 2004 and is also the Director of Training for the Center for Cultural Innovation. Her practice specializes in providing small to mid-sized arts organizations with strategically focused marketing, development and management guidance as well as program facilitation. In addition, Nancy creates and presents workshops and classes on a variety of topics for both artists and arts organizations on behalf of CCI, LA County Arts Commission, the National Arts Marketing Project and other organizations. From 1998 - 2004, Nancy was the Director of Marketing and Development for Playhouse West in Walnut Creek, CA. In her ad agency days,
Nancy held senior account management positions at three of California's largest agencies working on national brands such as Toyota, Saturn, Honda, Disney Channel, and California Pizza Kitchen. http://www.hytoneartsmanagement.com
